Main Responsibilities and Requirements
As a Biophysics Technical Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and managing advanced biophysical instrumentation, ensuring high-quality results for students and researchers. Your daily tasks will include:
- Overseeing the operation and maintenance of biophysical laboratory equipment
- Training and mentoring researchers and students on biophysical protocols
- Supporting a wide range of experimental approaches, such as spectroscopy, calorimetry, and crystallography
- Ensuring the highest standards of laboratory safety and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support innovative research projects
Requirements
- A degree in biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred)
- Hands-on experience with biophysical instrumentation and laboratory management
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and supporting scientific excellence
- Eligibility to work in the UK or support in obtaining a work visa
