Key Responsibilities
- Lead campus-wide initiatives to promote health, safety, and wellbeing for all students, staff, and visitors.
- Develop and implement robust policies to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide expert advice and training on safety matters, risk assessments, and best practices.
- Oversee regular audits and inspections; promptly address any safety issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with university leadership and external agencies to uphold high standards of safety and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in health and safety management (such as NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing safety in an educational or large organizational setting.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in higher education or similar sectors.
The position offers a competitive salary of £49,559 – £55,755 per year and is classified as Grade K.
