Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage our student Counselling Service, ensuring a high standard of care and support for our diverse student population.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote mental health and emotional well-being across the university.
- Supervise and support a team of experienced counsellors and mental health professionals.
- Work closely with university staff and departments to deliver integrated support services.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of counselling programs and initiatives.
- Stay up to date with best practices in mental health within higher education.
Requirements
- A recognized degree and professional qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, or a similar mental health discipline.
- Significant experience in leading counselling or mental health services, ideally within an educational or university environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- A strong commitment to diversity, equality, and the well-being of all students.
Salary
£50,253 to £58,225 per year (Grade 8)
