Key Duties & Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of HS&E programs for large-scale projects and facilities.
- Provide strategic direction on occupational health, construction safety, risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
- Oversee ES&H (Environmental, Safety, and Health) team members, contractors, and site personnel.
- Conduct comprehensive audits, site inspections, accident and incident investigations.
- Coordinate with project leaders, clients, and regulatory agencies to embed HS&E requirements in all operations.
- Support the wellbeing of all staff through effective programs related to immunization, emergency response, and welfare facilities.
- Collaborate with recruitment, training, and development to ensure ongoing HS&E excellence.
Requirements
- University degree from an accredited institution.
- Specialized training/courses in health, safety, or environment.
- Strong experience in HS&E management, preferably in engineering, construction, or similar industries.
- Expert knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, risk assessment and control, and best practices.
- Solid leadership and people management skills—able to motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Proven background in designing and delivering safety training programs.
- Ability to lead by example, fostering a culture of safety and compliance throughout complex projects.
