Key Responsibilities
- Oversee support and welfare provisions for all students living in university residences.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive residential community.
- Lead, train, and manage staff within the residences team.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to promote student wellbeing and resolve issues efficiently.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, ensuring high standards of health, safety, and welfare are maintained.
- Provide guidance and support for students dealing with personal, academic, or welfare-related concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential management, student services, or a related support/welfare role.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and welfare regulations, especially within a residential context.
- Ability to work proactively, make informed decisions, and handle complex situations discreetly and compassionately.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
Salary: £45,031 to £52,514 per year (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance).
