Key Responsibilities and Requirements
As the Residences Support and Welfare Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for our diverse student community living in university accommodation. Your main duties will include:
- Overseeing the well-being and welfare provision for all students in residential halls.
- Developing programmes and support services to enhance the student living experience.
- Managing incidents related to health, safety, and student welfare, in close collaboration with other departments.
- Providing guidance and training to residential staff regarding best practices in support, welfare, and safeguarding.
- Ensuring compliance with university policy, safeguarding regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect within all residences.
What We’re Looking For
- Professional experience in welfare, HSE, residential services, or student support.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
- Previous experience in a higher education or residential environment is highly advantageous.
