Key Responsibilities and Requirements
As the Residences Support and Welfare Manager, your main focus will be overseeing all aspects of welfare, support, and safety for students living in King’s College London residences. You will:
- Lead the delivery of welfare and wellbeing services in student accommodation
- Develop and implement support frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Manage incidents or emergencies with professionalism and care
- Liaise with university departments, local authorities, and external agencies to ensure cohesive welfare provision
- Provide guidance, training, and supervision for residential staff teams
- Monitor and report on welfare trends, incidents, and service improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in welfare, HSE, support services, or residential management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of student support, safeguarding, wellbeing, and safety issues
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and provide practical solutions

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from £45,031 to £52,514 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance).
