Key Responsibilities and Job Requirements
Your Main Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the project’s Environmental Management Plan.
- Supervise and mentor a team of environmental professionals, ensuring exceptional performance and integration of best practices.
- Partner with engineering, construction, and operational teams to embed environmental requirements across all project phases.
- Support the preparation of environmental permit applications and work with regulators to secure and manage permissions.
- Conduct risk assessments, data analysis, and regular compliance monitoring including inspections, sampling, and reporting.
- Guide the team in responding to environmental incidents, ensuring prompt investigation and resolution.
- Foster a culture of continual improvement, sustainability, and safety throughout the project.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Field Biology, Natural Resources, or related field (or international equivalent).
- Minimum 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years without a degree.
- Strong track record in leading environmental teams on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in environmental regulations, permitting, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to relocate for the duration of the project (relocation assistance and camp provided).
