Key Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive therapy and counselling services to university students.
- Conduct in-depth assessments to understand clients’ mental health needs.
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans and interventions.
- Offer crisis support and collaborate with student support teams.
- Deliver workshops and contribute to mental health awareness initiatives across campus.
Requirements
- A recognized qualification in psychotherapy, counselling, psychology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in providing therapy, ideally within an educational or youth-focused setting.
- Strong understanding of student welfare, mental health, and wellbeing.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work sensitively with diverse backgrounds.
Salary: £41,064 – £46,049 per year (pro rata), Grade 7
