Key Responsibilities
- Providing individual counselling sessions to students addressing a range of emotional and mental health issues.
- Conducting assessments and offering short-term therapeutic interventions tailored to students’ needs.
- Supporting student well-being through crisis response and mental health workshops.
- Working collaboratively with university staff and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Keeping accurate and confidential records as part of professional standards.
Requirements
- Recognised counselling or psychotherapy qualification.
- Proven counselling experience, ideally within a higher education or youth-focused setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse and changing caseload with empathy and resilience.
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and culturally sensitive practice.
Salary: £43,482 to £50,253 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience.
