Key Responsibilities & Requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Provide frontline welfare and wellbeing support to students and staff, ensuring a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
- Respond promptly to welfare concerns, offering advice and connecting individuals to appropriate resources.
- Develop and implement health, safety, and welfare initiatives that promote community wellbeing.
- Monitor and report on health and safety issues in line with university policies.
- Work closely with academic, health, safety, and administrative teams to uphold high HSE standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Health, Safety, Environment, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience in welfare, HSE, or student support roles is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and supportively with diverse groups.
- Understanding of current HSE practices and relevant legislation.
Fluency in English is required; Portuguese language skills are an advantage.
